Saarbrücken/Berwyn (Alemania), 31 de octubre de 2007.–“Since the first implementation at Siemens, we have been in discussions and prototyping with a number of customers and partners across the globe. This has shown us how crucial effective business process management and analytics is for the successful deployment of SOA,” said Kapi Attawar, Vice President of Strategic Alliances. “Together with Microsoft, as part of the Business Process Alliance, we now have an exciting and unique opportunity to deliver on the true value of SOA as a first step to taking BPM mainstream.”
With this integration, companies are able to seamlessly model and design business processes using ARIS, and then execute them through Microsoft BizTalk Server and web services. This offers time and cost savings in the development of individual software and implementation of middleware; enables the orchestration of business processes through industry standard web services and BPM protocols; and features complete, always up-to-date documentation for better communication between technical and development departments.
The integrated offering not only allows businesses to design, simulate and execute business process dynamically through BizTalk Server but also enables Process Analytics and Intelligence to be built into the business process which in turn enables a continuous improvement capability with a dashboard for process based decision making for the business.
“IDS Scheer and Microsoft are further collaborating around the strategic road map for Microsoft’s model-driven SOA and BPM technologies, code-named ‘Oslo’,” said Steven Martin, Director of Product Management in the Connected Systems Division at Microsoft Corp. “As part of the deep investments we’re making in our service-enabled and model-driven platform, we are gathering early feedback from partners such as IDS Scheer into our product planning, and are investing in integrated engineering to drive our future Oslo platform investments.”
