SAARBRUCKEN, August 29, 2007.- ARIS Process Performance Manager 4.1 and ARIS Performance Dashboard 4.1 by IDS Scheer are now available to support companies in meeting customer expectations regarding response times, flexibility and service quality – and to deliver these services at affordable prices. Today, it is essential for many companies not only to regularly monitor their own value-added chain, but also to constantly monitor relationships with customers and suppliers/contractors in relation to business-oriented Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Using the latest technology (Adobe® Flex™ 2) to display performance indicators optimized for management use, a completely reworked reporting engine (WYSIWYG) and an automated analysis process for identifying optimization potential (Advanced Analysis, Easy Mining), IDS Scheer customers are now able to implement process controlling and to manage SLAs more efficiently with greater acceptance.
The new 4.1 release of the proven ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM) offers organizations a comprehensive view of the performance of business processes by using objective process performance indicators in conjunction with a graphic representation of the actual process structure. This makes it possible to combine traditional performance indicator controlling with process management.
As further validation of the need for performance management, an April 5, 2007 AMR Research article by John Hagerty – Total 2007 BI/PM Spending Will Hit $23.8B (EUR 17.4B); Software Purchases Will Expand by More Than 8% – states the following: “We estimate the total expenditures of BI/PM, including software, integration, consulting, hardware, and internal head count will hit $23.8B (EUR 17.4B) in 2007, growing 3.6% from the prior year. The largest advance will be in analytic applications where spending will expand by nearly 9%. BI tools and dashboards/scorecards continue to grow at or faster than the rate for the sector as a whole.”
The newly developed WYSIWYG Reporting Component and a new, integrated ad hoc reporting function offer increased possibilities for publishing performance indicators within an organization. In addition, ARIS Performance Dashboard 4.1, developed on the basis of Adobe® Flex™ 2, offers user-friendly monitoring results that meet key management requirements. Combining process maps with the representation of associated performance indicators provides an intuitive overview of the company's current performance situation. State-of-the-art display technology enables even the occasional user to navigate from an aggregated overview to the causes of target deviations, thereby offering detailed knowledge of the situation. The user is able to make interactive changes to the structure of the dashboard, directly via the user interface and to adjust the display type and layout in a matter of minutes. External information, such as maps, etc. can easily be combined with the data and integrated into the corporate portal.
The Advanced Analysis module uses automated analysis processes to support process managers in an accelerated search for significant examples and procedures with high optimization potential. User-friendly wizards ensure the efficient execution of analyses to uncover hidden weaknesses and optimization potential, such as the identification of anomalies, wide fluctuation margins or combinations (e.g. region, customer group, products etc.) with deviations from plans.
Dr. Wolfram Jost, Member of the Executive Board and Head of Product Strategy and Development at IDS Scheer: "With the new releases of the two software products of the ARIS Controlling Platform, we have reached a significant milestone on the road to combining process management and business intelligence. In particular, we are taking into account the demands of our customers in order to guarantee immediate benefits; this includes the user-friendly publication of controlling results and quick identification of critical situations and optimization potential."
