Siscard S.A. is a leading company in Smart Cards-based systems development, leading to technological solutions for the finance sector, with more than ten years' experience developing applications for data-transfer-and-capture terminals, management, marketing and technical support services for point-of-sales (POS) network terminals.

To turn the following objectives into a reality: making business processes more efficient and flexible, planning and controlling global and regional management in a centralized way with automated processes, decentralizing task-executions, providing real time information to all the players involved in the processes, reducing communication costs through Internet use and reducing operating costs.

PECTRA Technology developed for Siscard Networks (the area managing network terminals electronically capturing national and regional credit and debit card transactions) an internal technological improvement which allows it to redefine processes linked to its widespread sales and technical support network. The result was shared data management, centralized functions and greater follow-up and control.
Before implementing PECTRA Technology, requirements had to be e-mailed to the technical department and, at times, these were supplemented by sheets detailing the tasks to be executed. Follow-up was tedious, and it was also based on replies to messages. This methodology relied solely on availability of existing mail servers and communications, and it was impossible to know exactly when the technician acknowledged there was a task requiring consideration, when this task was referred to an assistant, when this assistant checked the task in question, and when it was executed and completed. Both requests and claims regarding information followed the same circuit, generating delays inherent to this specific means of communication, such as unanswered claims and unsolved problems due to lost messages. To solve this problem, Siscard aimed at developing a PECTRA Technology-based solution, which enabled it to quickly respond to business process management and control demands by means of PECTRA Technology's excellent BPM functionality, on the client's side light assembly on the Internet browser, high interface/tools adaptability and maximum integration capabilities with all existing applications.

The new tool succeeded in reducing operational costs related to network management by more than 25%. Its implementation in the organizational structure was economic, simple, non-traumatic and highly valuable for following up activities and management control. It is, definitely, "an extremely useful tool" says Ricardo Bernini, Systems Manager of SISCARD S.A.
Implementing PECTRA Technology had an extremely positive economic effect:
